Gigs & Events......keeping music live
The Boathouse Society has supported live music since the Saturday night dances of the 1940's & this continues today with a live band or solo musician or orchestra or duo or whatever on most Friday evenings through the year. Gigs usually start at 8pm but check below to confirm. All ticket & door sales go directly to the musicians. To receive our monthly newsletter email the Manager at info(at)theboathousenelson.co.nz. The Friday evening Cafe offers a casual blackboard menu from 5pm & come in early before your choice gets wiped off the board ! We finish main meal orders around 8pm when the gig starts.
For musicians we offer a warm welcome, beautiful space, local brew, decades of musical history, modular staging, stage lights, a dancing doorman & local promo. Email Ali info(at)theboathousenelson.co.nz for a Band Info Pack & to check out available dates.

NZ album release tour
Tkts $15 eventfinder
Part of a nationwide album-release tour celebrating the release of "This Material World" Sonic Delusion's 4th studio album.
Too funky for folk and too folky for funk - that's Sonic Delusion's Latin-infused, pop-laced "funky electroacoustic folk." Sonic Delusion’s frontman Andre Manella uses his well-worn loop pedal to spontaneously create layers of rhythm, tone, and vocals.
The Swiss-Kiwi electro-folk raconteur “easily carves out his own unapologetically ambitious and intriguingly experimental sound.”
“Catchy loops invite plenty of dancing and hip swaying… a sensual delight to the ears”.
