The restrictions that were necessary because of Covid-19 included musicians and venues alike, but things are looking much better for New Zealand. Venues are open and musicians are keen to get back playing their music and bringing entertainment to the community. The Nelson Jazz Club presents two concerts as a musical celebration, ‘Nelson Jazz Live and Well’, showcasing the great variety of jazz available in Nelson. As well as giving Nelson a great reason for a night at the Boathouse, the evenings provide musicians with a welcome opportunity to perform again.The first concert on Friday 31 July features three very different bands:

This Organ Trio explores new grooves inspired by artists such as Jimmy Smith, Al Green, Booker T. and the MG’s, Santana, and The Peddlers, and shows the versatility of the retro-organ sound across rock, pop, jazz, funk, and blues genres.OUT ON BAIL
