The Boathouse Café is open to all for casual waterfront dining each Wednesday, Thursday & Friday lunchtime from 11.30a.m. to 2.00 p.m. & Friday evenings from 5.00pm (food orders taken to 8.00 pm.).

We aim to provide simple & fresh food, beautifully cooked & lovingly served in a perfect location. We are a freehouse & operate a fully licensed bar with a selection of local & national beers & wines.  Each month we have a Wine of the Month with a wine tasting on the first Friday - see the home page events for info.

Rob’s Seafood Chowder - World Famous in Nelson! - The chef’s own thick creamy chowder made with local seafood of smoked fish, mussels, scallops & calamari

Vegetarian Nachos topped with Chilli beans in a spicy tomato sauce with grilled cheese & lashings of sour cream

Platter for two a selection of yummy favourites: salami, smoked fish, mussels, pate, cheese & chutney. Served with crackers & French bread

Toasted Panini with your choice of Smoked Fish, Salami, Chicken or Vegetarian filling & served with a dressed salad

Greek Lamb Salad lamb fillet, black olives & goat feta on a dressed salad

Calamari Salad pan fried calamari with ginger & chilli & served with crispy noodles on a dressed salad

Nicoise Salad  tuna, anchovies, tomatoes, olives, green beans, potatoes & hard-boiled egg on a dressed green salad.

Gourmet Hamburger prime beef & stacked with bacon, cheese & salad on a homemade bun. Served with fries
