SugarBowl is an acoustic duo that blends a wide range of musical styles spanning over a
century. Comprised of Stephan Gilberg (guitar and harp) and Ali Lenton (vocals), SugarBowl started out in Nelson, where they first captivated audiences at the highly-regarded Tasman Bay Blues Club’s ‘Jam Nights’.
Ali’s vocals, combined with Stephan’s instrumental prowess, create a dynamic sound that earns audience attention from the get-go. Their broad repertoire draws from legendary artists such as Tom Petty, Neil Young, and Jimi Hendrix, and is an eclectic mix of folk, rock, pop, indie, and blues songs.
