Amalgo hail from the Nelson and Motueka region, and play with a mix of progressive groove-based, modern Celtic. They bring new interpretations of traditional Celtic music and their own original compositions. Their music is foot-tapping, danceable and steeped in the tradition of instrumental folk music. Come and enjoy and be inspired by Amalgo’s fresh interpretation of the Celtic music legacy at Nelson’s own Boathouse. They play traditional music with a modern flare, collected from Celtic music hubs across the globe. Featuring acoustic violin, mandolin, guitars and double bass.
