About the event:
Festa Junina, also called the Festa de São João holiday, is a traditional Brazilian harvest festival that takes place in June. It is practiced mainly by rural farmers, known as caipiras or matutos, and celebrates the end of the rainy season, rural life, and the beginning of the harvest.
We encourage you to dress up in traditional style! Here’s how:
Men dress up as farm boys with large straw hats and women wear pigtails, freckles, painted gap teeth and red-checkered dresses.
