Let the Band Play On! The World Heritage Day Tea Dance 🗓

Part of the Nelson Heritage Festival, this night will take you back to a 1940s tea dance. Supper, singing, old time jazz and skits all included!

Featuring the Nelson Histrionics, a Andrews Sisters Tribute from The Flightless Birds of New Zealand and swinging Jazz from Nelson City Jazz Club Big Band.  Selling out fast.

Let the band play on! Come along to The Boathouse Nelson for an evening of music and dancing with entertainment from The Nelson city Jazz club big band. Put your ‘post war’ glad rags on and step back in time at our world heritage tea dance!

This will be a night reminiscent of the dances held at The Boathouse (Rowing club) in the 1940s. The Nelson Jazz club will play tunes of the era and Histrionics will entertain with living history, singing, skits and drama.
A supper of 1940s fare will be served using rustic trestle tables and bespoke plates with doilies.
