Tickets available HERE

Te Whanganui-a-Tara based indie rockers Search For Yeti arrive in Nelson/Whakatū to kick off the South Island leg of their 8-date national tour in support of their new album ‘Dark So Soon’, with a show at The Boathouse on Friday July 18th.

Drawing influences from indie rock, britpop, folk and new-wave with an emphasis on hooks and melodies, the album shows a diverse range which has been praised as “a brilliant debut” (Chris Philpott), “warm, expansive and guaranteed to elicit a genuine emotional reaction” (13th Floor), “the songs stick with you, dreamlike in their form” (music.net.nz), and “hard rock, indie rock, power pop, atmospheric, it comfortably straddles them all” (Elsewhere). ‘Dark So Soon’ is available on both vinyl and CD at selected independent record stores across the country, as well as on all streaming services.

Joining Search For Yeti for the show will be Nelson locals The Violet Project – the indie pop/rock band of your dreams. With music inspired by artists such as The Beths, Bright Eyes and Phoebe Bridgers, the group produces a sound that is best described as rich and energetic, blended with deep story-telling lyrics
