SugarBowl is an acoustic duo that blends a wide range of musical styles spanning over a
century.
Comprised of Stephan Gilberg (guitar and harp) and Ali Lenton (vocals), SugarBowl started out
in Nelson, where they first captivated audiences at the highly-regarded Tasman Bay Blues
Club’s ‘Jam Nights’.
Ali’s vocals, combined with Stephan’s instrumental prowess, create a dynamic sound that earns
audience attention from the get-go.
Their broad repertoire draws from legendary artists such as Tom Petty, Neil Young, and Jimi
Hendrix, and is an eclectic mix of folk, rock, pop, indie, and blues songs.
SugarBowl’s versatility and musicianship shine through in their live shows, offering audiences a
unique and lively journey through the evolution of music.
