You, Me, Everybody’s Midnight tour showcases a distinctly Aotearoa take on bluegrass — rooted in tradition while pushing confidently at its edges. Blending banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and double bass with three-part harmonies, their sound draws as much from contemporary folk and Americana as it does from classic bluegrass, creating something both familiar and refreshingly local.
“An implosion of musical talent and ideas under the banner of bluegrass.” — Graham Reid, Elsewhere
Formed by brothers Laurence and Sam Frangos-Rhodes and featuring Tapawera-raised Kim Bonnington, the band has built a reputation for virtuosic playing, collaborative songwriting, and a willingness to stretch beyond genre expectations. Finalists for Best Folk Artist at the 2021 Aotearoa Music Awards, they reached a global audience when their song “Stranger” featured in the Netflix series Sweet Tooth.
“In fidelity to their expansive band name, there are no egos here… All members shine.” — Robin Kearns, 13th Floor
Touring their new album Midnight — which debuted at #2 on the Aotearoa Albums Chart — audiences can expect rich vocal interplay, dynamic instrumental exchanges, compelling storytelling, and the unmistakable connection of a band that thrives on playing together.
